BYD to Build Xi’an Plant 2

On July 25, 2009, BYD Auto Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of BYD Company Limited, signed the Investment and Cooperation Agreement with Xi’an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee so as to build BYD Xi’an Plant 2 and expand its auto manufacturing business in Xi’an.

After signing this agreement, except the existing automotive plant, a new plant will be built in Xi’an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone to manufacture whole cars and auto components. The annual automobile output is expected to be around 400,000 sets, promoting the production capacity of BYD automobile.

Xi’an Plant 2, an expansion project of BYD Xi’an auto base, is planning to produce L3. G3, F5, etc., as well as automotive components and so on.
