Project Manager - Automotive

BYD Europe is hiring an experienced, self-motivated Project Manager with a thorough understanding of the automotive industry. The Project Manager is the essential link between order and delivery and the after-sales service. He or she will work directly with clients and coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible and deliveries are made within the applicable scope and budget and according to clients’ requirements. Main duties and responsibilities

• Fully understand BYD’s Electric Vehicle products and product development pipelines

• Collect competitive product information and market requirements from local market

• Work closely with the product line manager/business development manager to identify customer’s requirements and product specifications and developments

• Fully understand customer’s technical requirements, coordinate with (HQ) R&D department, ensure the final product information

• Provide technical descriptions for tender purposes

• Follow-up on the project schedule and ensure the product delivery time

• Plan project meetings and make meeting minutes

• Update and distribute project change documents

• Review technical data for compliance with specifications

• Coordinate resources and requests of the project team

• Manage subcontractor and/or client invoices and payments •


• 3- 5 years’ experience in project management

• Thorough understanding of the automotive industry

• Bachelor degree, technical background is preferred

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good command of English is essential, Chinese is considered an asset

• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including MS Office

• Good team player, able to work in remote teams

• Proactive and able to anticipate demand
